Atop an artificial ski slope, Moncler unveiled its new Gamme Bleu collection designed by Thom Browne, a mash-up of functional skiwear and Browne’s unmistakable tailoring. The Alpine set design and the skiing models were entertaining enough—for those who got to see them. Unfortunately the show was filled to capacity before many key editors and buyers could make their way from Versace at rush hour, through the pouring rain. Finding the doors blocked, many of them simply headed back to their warm, dry cars and missed one cool spectacle.
