In a bid to make fashion more approachable, Costume National’s diffusion line, C’N’C, opened its show to the public, staging it in Milan’s main square, dominated by the city’s imposing cathedral. The show was part of a mixed spectacle organized by the municipality and dubbed “Milano Loves Fashion,” which included performances from The Kills and hip-hop entertainers. The show attracted 40,000 people, counted 90 TV stations connected and lured 1.4 million viewers, who tuned in to Italy’s satellite channel to watch it. The setting also suited the aggressive, tough chic–rocker collection, perhaps best embodied by the choice of models: Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof and Tali Lennox.
