Owners and twin brothers Chip and Pepper Foster have assigned exclusive Canadian distribution rights of the line to Throat Threads Apparel Inc. Under terms of the deal, Throat Threads Apparel will sell the range of Chip and Pepper products, including vintage-inspired men’s and women’s denim, shirts and sweatshirts, skirts, jackets and accessories, to specialty stores and chains.
Aritzia, Holt Renfrew and TNT are among the Canadian stores that have picked up the holiday line. Next targets are Japan and Europe, according to the Fosters.
The line now sells to nearly 300 specialty accounts in the U.S., including Los Angeles boutique chain Madison, Blue Bee in Santa Barbara, Calif., and Scoop in New York.
