NEW YORK — The Doneger Group has appointed Roseanne Morrison fashion director, a new position at the 60-year-old merchandising and fashion consulting organization.

Morrison was a fashion editor at Tobe, purchased by Doneger in October 2005. Morrison worked at Tobe, another research and consulting organization and publisher of The Tobe Report, for about 20 years. However, at the time of the acquisition, Morrison was working as a product manager for a small outerwear firm.

In her new role, Morrison will report to Abbey Doneger, president of The Doneger Group, which operates with merchandising market analysts and a “creative services” team, as well as an online marketplace with dozens of virtual supplier showrooms. Located at 463 Seventh Avenue here, The Doneger Group was originally a buying office. It still offers some buying services, but in recent years has evolved into a consulting firm and market source for trends and customized merchandising strategies for retail and fashion companies worldwide.

“Roseanne will be the liaison between our merchandising market analysts and creative services,” Doneger said. “She will add cohesiveness and consistency to the message we are delivering.”

He added that she will be another fashion spokesperson for The Doneger Group, along with David Wolfe, creative director.
