“I was inspired by the idea of a young man in Paris,” Dyn men’s wear designer Frida Homann said of her “Maxime” collection. “He just got his first job, so he wants to look formal but he also wants to have fun.”
This was evident in the woolen coats in chocolate brown and black that were half serious outerwear, half flowing wrap-around capes. Oversized epaulettes were another tongue-in-cheek detail on a burgundy double-breasted jacket. Rich wine colors dominated the lineup, which also included a Merlot velvet blazer worn by a young Parisian dandy, a silk leaf-print scarf casually slung around his shoulders.
