STELLA’S WORLD: Stella McCartney, who is showing her first cruise collection to retailers in Paris this week, has other new projects up her puffy sleeves. Sources say she’s about to name a new president to run her American business and is in negotiations with Safilo Group to launch a signature eyewear collection. Safilo already has close ties with Gucci Group, a partner in McCartney’s business, and makes eyewear for its Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent brands. In other McCartney-related news, Yvonne Chahine, a senior vice president and divisional merchandise manager for ready-to-wear at Bergdorf Goodman, is leaving the retailer for an unnamed post at McCartney’s company — as the new U.S. president, perhaps?

FACING REALITY: An ousted contestant from France’s popular reality TV show “Loft Story” has just inked a deal to become Revlon’s latest face. Twenty-two-year-old “Lauryne,” who was voted off the “Survivor”-like show last week, signed on with the beauty giant Tuesday to represent Revlon Creations makeup in France, a company spokeswoman confirmed. In her new role, Lauryne joins a host of famous Revlon faces, including Halle Berry and Julianne Moore.

LEISURE WEAR: Penelope Cruz, despite her arm-in-arm entrance to the CFDA Awards with Ralph Lauren, does not dress exlcusively in the designer’s wares. She was spotted at a Chanel trunk show on Tuesday at Bergdorf Goodman, and while she didn’t book her fall wardrobe, she did pick up a denim printed swimsuit from Chanel’s on-the-floor stock.
