NEW YORK — Candie’s has enlisted four young starlets for its spring TV and print advertising campaign.
Singer-actress Hilary Duff, four-time Grammy nominee Ciara, Michelle Trachtenberg of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and Samaire Armstrong, known for her roles on Fox’s “The O.C.” and HBO’s hit series “Entourage.”
The multimedia campaign will hit March issues of fashion, entertainment and lifestyle magazines such as In Style, Cosmopolitan, Teen People, Teen Vogue and Us Weekly. Duff’s song “SuperGirl,” off her current album, “Most Wanted,” is the soundtrack to the TV commercial.
“Since the last campaign starred Hilary, we thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be great to show all the new products using Hilary’s friends?'” said Dari Marder, creative director for the brand. “Plus, all the girls are in that 18- to 22-year-old range, which is the perfect demographic of a Candie’s girl.”
Candie’s product categories are available nationwide exclusively at Kohl’s department stores. This spring, Kohl’s will launch Candie’s home collection, swimwear and sunglasses.
The campaign was created by the in-house marketing team at Iconix Brand Fashion Group and photographed by Moshe Brakha.
