Pano Karatassos has had his share of successes in this city, and the Atlanta Fish Market, the newest restaurant in the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, looks like his next winner. Located at 265 Pharr Road, the Fish Market offers the kind of seafood you’d only expect to find on the coast.

Barry Lennon, one of the managers, says the restaurant’s goal is good food in a fun atmosphere. “Many of our clients frequent our other restaurants and are on a first-name basis with us.”

Chef Kevin Osella, formerly of the Buckhead Diner, reigns as executive chef and presides over the menu, which changes daily. Some of the most popular dishes include the fresh water baby lobster tail or the potato-crusted cod. An average check runs about $25 per person. Reservations aren’t required, although they’re recommended on weekends.

If you’re still hungry after your meal, Pano’s Food Shop is right next door. There, customers are treated to specialty foods as well as an assortment of favorites from all of the Buckhead Life Restaurants. It’s possible to take home a steak from Chops, pasta from Pricci, bread from the Buckhead Bread Company or, of course, seafood from the Atlanta Fish Market.
