SAKS TO SHUT DOOR: Saks Inc. will close its 104,000-square-foot Bergner’s department store in Urbana, Ill., in March. It is expected that business from that unit will be shifted to the 154,000-square-foot Bergner’s unit in nearby Champaign. The store’s workforce of 60 will be offered either transfer opportunities or, for those who are eligible, a post-employment package.
