B-T-S ONLINE, MOM: Moms searching for trendy and essential back-to-school items for their children are increasingly turning to the Internet for quick and easy purchases, according to a recent survey by MedeliaMonitor, the Voice of Women in America. Half of those polled said they were planning to do their b-t-s shopping online this year, an increase of more than 25 percent over 2005. The respondents cited the Internet as a solution to having limited time and money. The survey, which was sponsored by PersonalShopper.com, found 78 percent of respondents want “a free online service that would help to quickly and easily complete back-to-school shopping by finding the items their children want and need at the price they are willing to pay.”
