KELLWOOD TAPS BRIGGS EXECS: Kellwood Co. promoted two executives to its Briggs New York division. Rick Klimberg, Kellwood’s vice president of new markets, has been named chief executive officer. John Windham, executive vice president of operations for Kellwood’s Calvin Klein division, will be president and chief operating officer, a new post. Before joining Kellwood last February, Klimberg had 30 years in the apparel industry, including stints as vice president and divisional manager for Land N Sea Inc. and as a principal of Allison Place Shirt Corp. Windham, a 25-year industry veteran, joined Kellwood in 1999 as vice president of strategic sourcing of the Kellwood Global division, and has worked at U.S. Colors, Bee Jay Apparel, Winer Industries, Leslie Fay and Oxford Industries. Klimberg reports to Robert C. Skinner Jr., Kellwood chairman, president and ceo, and Windham reports to Klimberg.

RETAIL REAL ESTATE MOVES: Castagna Realty Company Retail, which operates the Americana Manhasset and Wheatley Plaza shopping centers on Long Island, N.Y., has promoted Deirdre Costa Major to the new position of president, responsible for leasing, management and development of the retail properties. Major joined the company in 1984 and was senior vice president and creative director. She continues as senior vice president of the parent firm, Castagna Realty Co. Also, Andrea Sanders has been promoted to senior vice president and creative director of Castagna Realty Company Retail. She oversees branding, advertising and marketing of the Castagna shopping centers. Sanders began as advertising director with the company in 1992 and has served as vice president and director of communications and branding.
