LAND WARS: Landlord-tenant relations can often be messy affairs, but when the landlord is LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton and the tenant is a brand owned by luxury rival PPR, they can get downright scrappy. LVMH has not renewed the rent contract of a PPR-owned Conforama furniture store in one of its buildings by the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris. Experts have been appointed by PPR to calculate the indemnities they believe will be owed to Conforama if LVMH decides to install one of its brands at that location. The report is to be finished in December.
