NEW PHAT VP: Kellwood’s Phat Fashions division has tapped Paula Rosado as vice president of marketing and public relations for Baby Phat and KLS by Kimora Lee Simmons. Most recently, Rosado was vice president of public relations for global marketing at Tommy Hilfiger U.S.A. Inc. She will be responsible for worldwide marketing execution, strategic positioning, marketing communications and public relations for the Baby Phat and KLS by Kimora Lee Simmons brands, based in New York. She succeeds Lee Sippola, who left in April to pursue other interests.

RAFE NAMES CEO: Rafe Studio Ltd., also known as Rafe New York, has named Eric Schwartz to be its first chief executive officer. Schwartz was executive vice president of sales and marketing at the five-year-old, New York-based accessories and footwear firm. He joined Rafe in December from Salvatore Ferragamo, where he was senior vice president of the men’s and women’s wholesale divisions. “The brand has grown rapidly in recent years,” company founder Rafe Totengco, who will continue as chief creative officer, said in a statement. “To achieve our vision for the company, Rafe New York needs the highest caliber of business development leadership to equal our creative strengths.”
