There was very little pre-show hype about being able to buy catwalk clothes after Tory Burch’s show on Tuesday, just some Instagram pictures about the show itself. The web site was updated with news that the runway show would be live-streamed on the company’s web site, and the site presented “behind-the-scenes” photos ahead of the fashion show.

A limited selection from the show was to be available. But as of Monday the store couldn’t confirm whether the clothes would arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. On a trip to the store after the show, a sales associate had to check with the “team” when asked about the runway clothes. I was told only a couple of styles, including a green anorak jacket and a handbag (no detail which one) would be available later in the week. No specific day was given. She asked for my name, as the limited supply was expected to get bought out quickly. There did not appear to be a big focus from the organization to “see-now-buy-now.” — Debra Borchardt
