COSABELLA’S NEW DIGS: Miami-based Cosabella is opening its first New York showroom today at 183 Madison Avenue.
Sergio Oxman, co-owner of the 20-year-old fashion daywear and sleepwear company, is calling the showroom The Cosabella Suite 1111. He said the decor was designed to emulate the “same warmth and modern design details” of the Miami flagship.
Selected for its consistent direct sunlight, the space reflects Cosabella’s color range with walls painted in a warm shade of yellow, accented with red, brown and natural wood textures. Aluminum and steel fixtures were selected to give the showroom a clean finish. Special touches include moveable wood worktables and white-cloth covered benches.
There also will be a flat screen TV that will run footage from fashion shows, clips from celebrity sightings and images of the collection on models.
