LONDON — The British Fashion Council has released its lineup for the next bout of men’s wear shows in London in January. The shows will run from Jan. 6 to Jan. 8, overlapping for two days with Pitti Uomo, which is scheduled to run from Jan. 7 to Jan. 10.

Burberry Prorsum will show at 2 p.m. on Jan. 8. A spokesperson from the BFC said that this is “great news for London” because it means more international press and buyers will remain in town for the duration of the shows.

Gaetano Marzotto, president of Pitti Immagine, said in a statement on the event’s Web site that it had not been possible to postpone Pitti Uomo for 2014, but that a postponement will be in place from January 2015 onward.

“With regard to January 2014,” said Marzotto, “we will try once again to reason with the organizers in London in order to find a practical and principled solution to the problem of overlapping that, albeit only partial, means that buyers and journalists do not receive the best possible service.”

The BFC spokesperson said the dates for the London shows were chosen after much consultation and feedback from buyers and press, who said that one or two days was all they needed to “do Pitti” before the Milan men’s shows, which begin on Jan. 11.

New additions to the London Collections: Men lineup for fall 2014 will include presentations from Louis Leeman Paris, Newgen-sponsored brands Common and Kit Neale, Smythson, John Lobb, Crombie and Kent & Curwen, which opened its first store on Savile Row this week. A. Sauvage and Casely-Hayford will both stage catwalk shows for the first time.
