For its luxe Italian footwear collection, Louis Leeman took inspiration from all things naval and military, from uniforms and medals to the fabric of the battle ships themselves. Key looks featured slippers done in a muted chevron print or laser-cut camouflage; skater shoe/loafer hybrids — including a stunning pair in polished green leather — and streamlined white sneakers with color block Velcro fastenings in green or red, resembling military epaulettes.

There were also shoes with monochrome polka dots, recalling positions on a ship’s radar, according to the brand’s co-creative director, Erica Pelosini. New for fall/winter was a classic evening collection with leather that was hand painted and hand polished in Tuscany, smoking slippers, and Belgian loafers with sumptuous hand quilted interiors in sapphire blue.
