NEW YORK — Channeling the synergy and team effort of the “Golden Girls,” five California women with decades of combined experience in fashion, retailing and business development have joined forces to create Lusso Vero, a San Francisco-based fashion house. The company is launching this fall with 57 styles of related separates, and 39 evening and special-occasion looks.
Lusso Vero, which means “intrinsic luxury” in Italian, wholesales from $238 for pants to $1,998 for coats. Midrange dresses are at around $700. The line, designed by evening and bridal veteran Nancy Taylor, formerly of the California fashion company Alencon, is driven by separates and outfits that travel from day to night. The label is now being shown by Gelfand Marketing Solutions, and chief executive officer Joyce Reitman is already eyeing accounts such as Neiman Marcus.
