Fashion Council Germany mentee and Austrian Fashion Award winner Marina Hoermanseder is one of Berlin’s more well-known designers. This season, she took inspiration from courageous women, including Amelia Earhart. Leather and wool aviator jackets, ladylike shirtdresses and full, pleated pants were a bit literal, but also suggested Hoermanseder wants to remain grounded. Other wearable pieces including softly tinted cuddly coats, jackets and large gauge knits.
She pushed her signature leather pieces that came molded, lacquered, buckled and strapped. High sheen leather skirts and corsets were often studded with jeweled fleur-de-lis. An embellished chocolate skirt was dressed down with a striped mock turtleneck top, while a molded mint green leather blouse had prim cuffs and a copper jeweled collar — secretary fetish supreme. New shapes for her growing accessory line included train cases, prim handbags and envelope clutches.
