NEW YORK — Susan Nappe has been named executive vice president, wholesale, at Gianni Versace Distribution, the U.S. wholesale operating arm of Gianni Versace, SpA.

Most recently, Nappe was North American wholesale director for Bottega Veneta, a post she held for more than three years. Earlier she held sales positions at Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan.

Nappe, who is based at 647 Fifth Avenue here, reports to Gabriella Di Carlo, worldwide commercial director of Gianni Versace SpA, and Giuseppe Celio, chief executive officer of Gianni Versace Distribution.

Nappe previously worked for Di Carlo at Bottega Veneta. As reported, Di Carlo joined Versace in July, having been commercial director at Bottega Veneta, prior to which she spent 17 years at Fendi. Nappe’s appointment underscores the fact that accessories continue to be a priority and key growth vehicle at Versace.

In her new role, Nappe will work closely with the Versace corporate office in Milan to oversee sales and distribution in the U.S. of the women’s and men’s Versace ready-to-wear and accessories collections; Versace Classic collections; Versace Sport; Versace Intimo, and Versace Intensive.
