NEW YORK — Emilio Marin, a former design artist for Women’s Wear Daily and 43-year employee of Fairchild Publications, died Thursday of complications arising from cancer. He was 64.

Born in Manhattan, Marin was a lifelong resident of New York. He spent his entire career at Fairchild, joining in September 1961 as an artist and retiring in May 2004.

Outside of work, Marin’s interests were theater and old movies, according to his brother, Victor Marin, with whom he shared a home. He frequently donated money to international children’s charities.

Marin is survived by his brother, who will hold a memorial gathering for family and friends on Saturday at 1 p.m. at his home in the Bronx.
