NEW YORK — Jeffrey Rosenzweig, president of Fashion Ribbon Co., a ribbon manufacturer and distributor, died June 12 at the Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Conn. He was 50.

The cause of the death was pancreatic cancer, said Barry Berger, national sales manager at the company.

Rosenzweig had been with the firm for 29 years. He started out in the shipping and packaging departments and rose through the ranks until he was named president in 1990.

“By the time he became president, he was well versed in the industry,” Berger said.

Rosenzweig was responsible for starting up a business in China, Fashion Ribbon Far East China, 12 years ago.

His father, William Rosenzweig, the founder of the company who has been semiretired, will again be fully active in the day-to-day operations of the family-owned business.

In addition to his father, Rosenzweig is survived by his wife, Lizanne; his mother, Freida; three sons, Steven, Ken, and David, and a brother, Charles.
