NEW YORK — Janet Gizicki, vice president of merchandising at Kazu Apparel Group, died after a bout with cancer. She was 52.

Gizicki began her career at Bloomingdale’s as an executive trainee. She became a sales consultant at Parfums Givenchy, served as a principal at Bonnie & Norma and later became a sales associate at Spitalnik & Co. She was also a merchandise manager at Winer Industries and a vice president of sales at ARB before joining Kazu in 1998.
Gizicki, who died Dec. 8, is survived by her husband, Thomas; a daughter, Adrienne, and a son, Alexander.
