“It’s an uptown preppy look with a soft, vino-stained lip,” said makeup artist Val Garland backstage at Aquascutum. Garland created the look with Yves Saint Laurent Perfect Touch Foundation on the face followed by Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon on the cheeks. Eyelids were glossed over with Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, while lips were accentuated with Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pure Shine lipstick. Before models hit the runway, Garland dabbed moisturizer high on cheekbones to create a slight reflection.
Meanwhile, hairstylist Malcolm Edwards, working with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art, constructed what he called “a sexy Bardot bun.” Hair was blow-dried using Tecni.art Pli and Color Show Volume Mousse. Edwards used Liss Control to create a little separation while teasing the hair to lift slightly at the crown. Hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, which was twisted to create a bun.
