NEW YORK — If Miss Manners were to give her opinion on proper spring attire, she might advise the stylish masses to knock on Banana Republic’s door. The firm, which is showing its full spring lineup tonight, continues to move in a fashion-forward direction, hitting on many of the latest trends, including the shrunken jacket. “I love the idea of it with cropped or short sleeves,” said Deborah Lloyd, executive vice president of design. “It’s easy to look polished if you pair it with a skirt, but it’s also great with jeans.” Here, it’s teamed with a silk skirt, tulle brooch, beaded necklace and suede shoes.
