EAST MEETS WEST: Prive Salon is scheduled to open a third salon on July 15, this time in the W Hotel in Seoul, located in the fashionable Walker Hill district. This marks Prive’s first international location, which will measure some 1,300 square feet and will be headed up by Prive creative director and colorist Christian Snyder. “The Asian market is so exciting,” noted Laurent Dufourg, celebrity hairstylist and creator of the Prive salons in New York and Los Angeles. “They are tuned into new trends and there is so much creativity and pulse. They aren’t afraid to take risks, so from a creativity standpoint, it’s very exciting. Asia is a great place for us to explore trends and to help bring them back to the States.” He added that there are plans to “continue to further explore this market” and will travel to Beijing in August to seek out additional opportunities.
