The novelty wind that breezed through PV made it through the exhibitions at Indigo, as well. The textile design show, which ran concurrently with the fabric fair, showcased interesting new techniques in prints, embroideries and knits. Highlights included foiled effects on velvet at Alison Hume, which gave a rich, metallic sheen to the soft fabric. At Robert Vernet, a textured tweed print looked almost woven. Brewster, meanwhile, went au naturale with its selection of muted tree prints, and Nixe showed comfy, cozy angora knits, complete with decorative embroidery.
