MILAN — Italian textile mills exhibiting at the Pitti Filati show in Florence Feb. 1-3 are focusing on natural fibers for spring 2007. Natural doesn’t mean they’re confining themselves to cotton and wool, though. Innovative yarns spun from gold and copper will be a standout for some mills. Others have taken precious fibers such as angora and cashmere and enhanced their performance capabilities.
