LJUBLJANA, Slovenia — Stylish Slovenians brace for the winter chill by layering up with an unexpected mix of lightweight pieces. In Ljubilana, Slovenia’s capital, many women finish off their looks with colorful quilted jackets and fur-trimmed anoraks. Some bundle up with metallic scarves, knit striped headbands, pastel hoodies and bright-colored mittens for extra shots of color and warmth. At least one young resident is already envisioning the months when the nearby snowcapped mountains will be green again. She dealt with a frigid January night in a hot pink visor planted sideways on her head.
