During the winter months, Florida tends to get warm-weather fancy with all sorts of events that attract chic, often gussied-up crowds. At Miami’s recent third annual Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon, big hats and head-to-toe black prints were the reigning trends. Meanwhile, along Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, shoppers came out in droves dressed in easy cotton dresses, this time in bright prints, paired again with floppy hats and, of course, plenty of designer bags. On Sundays in Wellington, it’s the polo matches that attract a glam crowd: myriad men went for chinos in a rainbow of colors, and ladies opted for chic skinny pants, printed shirts and long, flowy dresses.
