London’s climate can’t make up its mind, having had the coldest and snowiest winter in many years, yet mixed with warm breaks between the chills — all making for challenging wardrobe choices. Covent Garden is still a destination for the young, where students, tourists and locals spend their lunch hour in the piazza, while the Bond Street area tends to attract a different, sometimes older, clientele. And all over town, short skirts (even worn over jeans), fur jackets and duffel coats are favorites.
