It was a case of everything goes earlier this month at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. With temperatures soaring, revelers broke a sweat dancing the days away and their fashion choices were predictably bare. Little sundresses, tiny shorts or cropped pants paired with flowy tunics or tank tops were most popular with performers and audience members alike. But the most spirited in the crowd were decked out in wildly colorful skirts — from long, easy peasant or flamenco looks to swirling shapes and crinolines. Terrific hats, loads of sandals, sneakers, hippie-inspired jewelry and, of course, sunglasses were the most favored accessories.
