A three-tier working fountain teetering upon a woman’s head? Antlers and woodland flora propped on a chapeau? It must be the Mad Hatter’s Tea, the annual benefit and topper extravaganza at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. The nature theme went to every guest’s head at the recent event, especially the prize-winning butterfly hat dripping with natural gold-edged monarch chrysalises. But most interpreted the motif a bit more demurely, sporting fresh and faux flowers along with plenty of exuberance.
