LONDON — Tommy Hilfiger has embarked on a Mickey Mouse operation — literally.

The Tommy Hilfiger Group has inked a deal with The Walt Disney Co. for a limited edition capsule collection of children’s wear to be sold mainly in Europe and South America, but not the U.S. The “Meet the Family” capsule collection features a raft of Disney characters, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Pluto dressed in the Tommy Hilfiger spring children’s collection.

The 10-piece capsule collection includes four T-shirts each for boys and girls, a sweater and a dress. Disney artists have drawn the characters wearing pieces from the spring children’s collection.

“Disney…has a lifestyle and core values that are aligned with our brand,” said Hilfiger. “It was a true honor and joy to be the first designer to give a preppy spin to the looks of our favorite Disney characters.”

Marc Low, vice president of fashion and home for the Walt Disney Co. EMEA, said: “We’re excited to be launching this children’s wear collection, which is unique, fashion-forward and lovable.”

The collection, which is for children ranging from 18 months to eight years, will launch in February at Tommy Hilfiger stores and wholesale mainly in Europe, at stores including Selfridges, and in South America.

Wholesale prices range from 9.50 pounds, or $15.20, for a T-shirt to 16.60 pounds, or $26.60, for the dress.
