NEW YORK — Tommy Hilfiger Licensing Inc., a subsidiary of Tommy Hilfiger Corp., has entered into a licensing agreement with RAJ Manufacturing Inc. of Tustin, Calif., for the development, manufacture and distribution of Tommy Hilfiger swimwear.

The new Tommy Hilfiger Swim collection launches in July at the Miami Swimwear Show in South Beach, Fla., and will be available in major department stores and specialty stores nationwide beginning in spring-summer 2006.

Hilfiger has had a swimwear business under license since 2001 with Jantzen Inc. That agreement expired and was not renewed. Tommy Hilfiger Swimwear will continue to be available in misses’ and juniors’ styles.

“We are confident that RAJ Manufacturing’s product quality and retail relationships position them to accomplish great things with the Tommy Hilfiger brand,” said Sharon Waldron, executive vice president of domestic licensing at Tommy Hilfiger.

The new swimwear line will feature separates, one-pieces, cover-ups and beachwear in a variety of bold colors. The misses’ line wholesales from $18 to $58, and the juniors’ collection ranges from $18 to $26.

In addition to Tommy Hilfiger Swimwear, the RAJ Manufacturing makes and distributes swimwear under brand names such as Athena Pick Your Fit, Next by Athena, Guess Swimwear, Guess Collection, O’Neill, Beach Lingo, St. John Swimwear and private label.
