NEW YORK — Rule number one for the girl on the go is to travel in style, whether jetting off to a tropical locale or zipping out to the coast for a weekend. For resort, designers are providing the right look no matter the final destination. Michael Kors referenced Jamaica’s laid-back island vibe with cool tie-dyed tops, wood-embroidered tunics and shell-trimmed jeans throughout his signature line, while for his Kors line, he stayed closer to home with long, outdoorsy anoraks, lots of khakis and smart flight suits. At Bottega Veneta, creative director Thomas Maier had a clear vision of the crystal-clear waters off the Aeolian Islands. He went for maximum luxury — and impact — with supersexy eyelet bikinis, red hot suede grommet dresses or lightweight cashmere tanks. And, as always, nothing says cool like a sleek, head-to-toe white look.
