NEW YORK — Beginning this week, WWD is shifting its daily market lineup to accommodate expanded coverage of mass retailing and manufacturing, as well as continued coverage of upscale fashion markets.

Each day’s news, in addition to breaking stories, will include comprehensive industry coverage that reflects the changing dynamics of apparel distribution from the designer and bridge markets to the better, moderate and mass markets.

On Mondays, WWD will include accessories, innerwear and hosiery coverage. Prior to this week, Monday editions concentrated on the accessories market, while innerwear and hosiery appeared on Thursdays. The financial page, with its weekly stock index, will continue to appear each Monday. Borderlines, a feature examining North American Trade, will appear every other Monday.

Tuesdays will continue to focus on ready-to-wear, including dresses, suits and coats. Textile Report and Home Shopping News will remain Tuesday features.

Wednesdays and Thursdays will be devoted to casual and career sportswear, respectively. Previously, Sportswear Report appeared only on Wednesdays.

Categories featured from time to time under the casual sportswear banner on Wednesdays will include denims, juniors, activewear, sweaters, contemporary and swimwear.

On Thursdays, the spotlight will fall on career, or dressy, sportswear, including separates, jackets, blouses, pants, sweaters and knits.

Fridays will continue to feature Beauty Report and Marketing/Media.

Suzy will continue to appear on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Eye page will continue to run each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
