YMI, a Los Angeles-based junior denim and young contemporary brand, has signed a licensing agreement with Stargate Apparel in New York to produce and market YMI kids’ and girls’ (sizes 0 to 16) in denim and nondenim bottoms, swimwear, sleepwear and outerwear. Bottoms will wholesale from $11 to $13, swimwear will be $9 to $12 and outerwear will run for $12 to $24. The lines are expected to hit stores in the summer. The collections will be shown at Stargate’s Manhattan showroom at 530 Seventh Avenue, Suite 2700. Stargate, a family-owned business, was founded in 1995.
