Manufactured by niche label Isole & Vulcani, the collection includes some bikinis, a one-piece swimsuit, a top and a caftan, all offered in both adult and kid sizes, the latter from 4 to 12 years old. (Presumably the average teenage girl will seek a beach look as unlike Mom as humanly possible). The feminine pieces are crafted from raw-cut cotton and feature a chic hydrangea pattern available in three colors — lilac, yellow and aqua green.

“Emmina, a mini-collection celebrating the complicity between a mother and her daughter, is infused with the sense of freedom which I can feel during the holiday in Apulia with its sea and the romantic countryside,” said Ferri, who is expecting her second child with husband Carlo Ludovico Borromeo, a partner in Lapo Elkann’s Garage Customs Italia project. “I chose a floral, delicate pattern, which could transmit that sense of innocence and serenity typical of the holiday season.”

The collection, which will retail from 32 euro, or $37 at current exchange rate, to 143 euro, or $166, will be available at Yoox.com from May 11.
