SO LONG: “We are in the middle stages of what we are calling the longest goodbye,” Karen Katz quipped Sunday night during the Milan farewell for Neiman Marcus’s retiring chief executive Burt Tansky, whom she will succeed on Oct. 6. Angela Missoni, Marni’s Consuelo Castiglioni, Laudomia Pucci and Wanda Ferragamo joined a battalion of European fashion executives for the sendoff, held in the stunning 15th-century townhouse where Leonardo da Vinci resided while he was painting “The Last Supper” across the street. Addressing the crowd gathered in its candlelit garden, Tansky spoke of his fondness for Italy. “I do love pasta,” he said, “and you can see it from my waistline.” As for his next fashion statement, the retail guru said, “I will be a tourist. You will see me with Bermuda shorts and a T-shirt that says, ‘I Love Italy.’”
