A (VERY) LITTLE INTEL: Behold, the “smart” bracelet by Intel and Opening Ceremony. Back in January, the two companies unveiled their collaboration, which they’re calling MICA, or “My Intelligent Communication Accessory,” and now the world knows what it looks like: two styles, one black snakeskin with pearls and lapis stones from China; the other, white snakeskin with tiger’s eye from South Africa and obsidian from Russia. Both have a curved screen on the inside of the wrist. What the technology does, on the other hand, is still a relative mystery.

“We’re not going too much into detail before the product is actually on the market,” said Aysegul Ildeniz, vice president and general manager for business development and strategy, New Devices Group, at Intel. “But what I can say is we’re calling it a communications accessory. It’s intended to enable you to be connected at all times, through social feeds.”

It reportedly does not need to be connected to a phone. The price also has yet to be set, though OC’s Humberto Leon said it will be “under $1,000.” It will retail exclusively at Barneys New York and Opening Ceremony for holiday. From the campaign images, shot by Collier Schorr on models Kirsten Owen and Ajak Deng, it looks like the bracelet tells time.
