The Accessories Council is to reprise its summit event. The full-day affair is to be held this year on Nov. 14 at the Hearst Tower — with speakers including the NPD Group’s Marshal Cohen, consultant Karen Harvey, and Google’s head of industry, fashion and luxury brands Lisa Green. A selection of designer speakers has yet to be confirmed.
The Accessories Council held its first summit event in July 2015 at LIM College. Panel participants included Ivanka Trump, baker Dominique Ansel and Paul Andrew.
The organization’s long-term president Karen Giberson said of the occasion: “The summit has become an important and exciting addition to our annual event schedule. We feel strongly, in this time of dramatic change, it’s more important than ever to challenge ourselves to be nimble and to contemplate new strategies for growth.
“The summit will offer a daylong lineup of dynamic speakers, thought leaders and innovators with a goal of inspiring and empowering our attendees’ strategies to thrive. We have programmed the day to include out-of-industry success stories, along with respected colleagues who will share their ideas, successes and learnings.”
This summer, the council marked the 20th anniversary of its flagship event, The ACE Awards, with a gala at Cipriani.
