Carmen Jorda and Stella McCartney at the designer's Adidas by Stella McCartney spring presentation in Los Angeles.

FAST WOMEN: At her spring Adidas by Stella McCartney presentation in Los Angeles on Nov. 2, Stella McCartney posed with many women, mostly foreign members of the media who relish celebrity selfies. But there was one elegant blonde, clad in a white Stella McCartney suit, who had several guests scratching their heads. Was she a movie star? A model?

While she had the looks to be either, she was actually neither. Turns out the mystery guest was the brands’ newest ambassador, Spanish race car driver Carmen Jorda, who is currently a development driver for the Renault Formula 1 Team. Jorda, 28, was born in Alcoy, Spain, and currently resides in Valencia, Spain, and Miami.

After the presentation, McCartney noted that her activewear line was among the first to introduce female ranges for male-dominated sports such as triathlons. Could this mean that one-piece racing suits are next? Perhaps it was a meeting of the minds, as the denim jumpsuit is one of McCartney’s signature collection’s bestsellers. One thing is certain — expect to see Jorda at various events around the world for the activewear collaboration.

Perhaps instead of being among the guests at the next Adidas by Stella McCartney presentation, Jorda will be demonstrating her sport on a mini racetrack. One can only imagine the possibilities for the next event given the number of F1 tracks in glamorous cities around the world. Monaco’s Monte Carlo, anyone?
