AMBROSIO GETS IN THE SWIM OF THINGS: Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio was on hand Friday afternoon at specialty chain Everything But Water’s Brentwood location to unveil her latest fashion venture, Ále by Alessandra swimwear.

Inspired by Ambrosio’s Brazilian roots and current Malibu lifestyle, the 75-piece debut collection includes one-piece and bikini separates ($180 to $240 retail), as well as cover-ups ($120 to $300 retail), in a range of prints and solids that capture the model’s different moods — eight groups to be exact. “Each swimsuit has to have details, for me” Ambrosio said. “I wanted to do something that was very bohemian and chic at the same time, and [with] all the different cuts… there’s something for all different bodies.” Produced by Los Angeles-based swimwear manufacturer Lunada Bay, the new collection is an extension of Ambrosio’s spring 2014 apparel capsule for California-based retailer Planet Blue. Continuing her boutique-based brand, Ambrosio partnered with Everything But Water for the launch because it is one of her favorite places to shop. “I live really near here and I walk by this place everyday, and I always wished one day my collection would be in this store,” Ambrosio said. “They have really amazing product… so it works really well, this partnership.” Ále by Alessandra will retail at Everything But Water’s 93 store locations nationwide and on the company’s e-commerce site. Meanwhile, in her spare time, the mother of two is prepping for the upcoming Victoria’s Secret fashion show Dec. 2 in London.
