WANG’S WALLIE: The much-buzzed-about collaboration between Alexander Wang and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has finally come to fruition. The designer, who was tapped to create a limited-edition crowdsourced bag for the electronics maker, will unveil his creation Wednesday. Dubbed the Alexander Wang Wallie gym sack, the bag, which will go on sale this month in “key markets” around the world and online, will raise funds for Art Start, a charity that uses the arts to nurture the creative talents of “at-risk” children and youth, according to Samsung.

can come together in an unexpected but really meaningful way,” said Wang.

At the beginning of the year, Wang engaged a group of friends, stylists and photographers to doodle images, patterns or photos on their Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphones. Wang then boiled the sketches down into a “collectively inspired” print for the bag.
