WEATHER GIRL: American photographer Amy Arbus encountered almost every kind of weather last December when Marina Rinaldi commissioned her for a special shoot of its fall-winter 2015 collection in Central Park.
“We were rained out one day because there were 40 mile-an-hour winds. We also had a snow day. It was a real potpourri,” she related at the Max Mara show on Thursday in Milan.
The images, showing real-people models and plus-size women cast from the street, are to go on display in Milan on Friday night at Chiesa di San Carpoforo, and subsequently travel to New York.
Arbus, daughter of photographer Diane Arbus, is known for her posed and portrait-like street photography, and her style page in the Village Voice in the Eighties.
