ANYA ADDS ON: Anya Hindmarch has expanded its Bond Street store to include a floor dedicated to the brand’s bespoke concept, which allows customers to personalize men’s and women’s pieces with handwritten messages, drawings or initials. Until now, this service has only been available online, at the newly opened Madison Avenue flagship store and at the Pont Street, London, store. The 770-square-foot bespoke space will be the first in the U.K. to be realized in the new global store concept by architect and interior designer Ilse Crawford, who created the look of the Madison Avenue store, which opened in August. The remainder of the store will be given the Crawford transformation next year.

For the bespoke space, Hindmarch wanted to create the atmosphere of an artist’s studio, a place of creativity and craftsmanship. Simple trestle tables, walls hung with authentic tools, drawers of materials, pots of glue and even a jar of traditional “humbug” candy all add to the charming effect of a traditional workshop. British master craftsmen will be based there to personalize products in front of customers.

The mainline seasonal collections will be housed in the 1,044-square-foot ground floor space.
