ARMANI, PENN TEAM UP FOR PHOTO FAIR: Paris Photo, the international art photography fair created in 1997, will hold its first Los Angeles expo April 26 to 28 at Paramount Pictures Studios. Giorgio Armani, an official partner of the fair since 2011, presenting “The Acqua Exhibition” annually, will introduce “Acqua #3” in a dedicated space at Paramount featuring water-themed photographs by Jim Goldberg. Since 2011, the designer has supported the Acqua for Life project, which has helped collect more than 92 million liters of drinkable water for UNICEF and Green Cross International’s programs in Ghana and Bolivia.

This year, Acqua for Life joins forces with J/P Haitian Relief Organization, Sean Penn’s nongovernmental organization dedicated to saving lives and bringing sustainable programs in Haiti, the focus of Goldberg’s photos. Said the designer, “Sean’s work is perfectly in line with the Acqua for Life program, so joining forces was a natural step. Our great understanding and mutual respect have made this collaboration a truly gratifying experience.”
