Milan’s Armani/Ristorante, located on the seventh floor of the Armani Hotel on Via Manzoni, on Thursday received its first Michelin star.

The restaurant, which mainly offers an Italian menu, is currently headed by chef Filippo Gozzoli.

According to the company, the restaurant’s philosophy is based on an experimental approach in its research of the fifth taste, in addition to the four basic ones. This is called umami, a Japanese word translated as “savory.”

Open every day for both lunch and dinner, the Armani/Restaurant also offers a rich Sunday brunch.
