ART IN ACTION: Come Oct. 11, if you’re wondering where all the art aficionados and fashion plates have gone, then look no further than the Hammer Museum. The Los Angeles-based art institution will host its 12th annual gala to honor singer Joni Mitchell and painter Mark Bradford that night with respective tributes from filmmaker Cameron Crowe and art historian Sarah Lewis. Bottega Veneta had so much success in helping to raise $2 million at last year’s soiree that it’s returning as a sponsor. On the chairing committee, Bottega Veneta creative director Tomas Maier will be joined by two husband-and-wife teams from the acting and art worlds: Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, along with Danna and Ed Ruscha. Suzanne Goin from Lucques will whip up the feast to be served in the garden. If past guest lists are any indication — Diane Kruger, Will Ferrell, Catherine Opie, Tom Ford, Monique Lhuillier — it’ll be another star-studded sellout.
